Someone says let’s watch something. Everyone agrees. Then comes the part nobody enjoys: six people arranging themselves around a screen built for one.

A laptop on a stack of books, tilted so three of you can half see it. The TV in the corner that is exactly the size it has always been. Two people on the floor at an angle where the colours go strange.

So the film goes on and, twenty minutes later, half the room is on their phones. Not because the film was bad. Because watching it together was never really set up to work.

That is a small problem. It is also one that happens most weeks.

We will not tell you this replaces a cinema. It does not. A cinema has a screen the size of a building and a sound system worth more than a car.

We will not print 4K on the box. The panel is 1280 × 720. It takes sources far above that and scales them down, which is worth knowing and worth saying plainly.

And it is built for the dark. At 290 ANSI lumens, after sunset on a pale wall it looks genuinely good. At two in the afternoon with the curtains open it does not, and no projector at this size does.

Here is the whole promise. It weighs 750 grams. It is ready in under a minute. The wall opposite becomes a screen up to 200 inches, and when the film ends it goes back in the drawer. That is a small promise. We would rather be held to a small honest one than a large vague one.
